Tsawwassen Mills’ roll-up and sliding gates use a vertical rod system that commonly fails open — when it does, most locksmiths won’t touch it. We’re one of the few who can diagnose it on the spot and get the gate temporarily operational so the business can keep running, then handle the full repair. The sliding gates use a different mechanism entirely — a rim cylinder with a hook cassette — which regularly rusts from water exposure and needs replacement. Two different failure points, two different fixes, and we know both.
