Think of it as a smart lock system for your whole building — not just one door. Instead of handing out keys that anyone can copy and never expire, everyone gets a fob, card, code, or their phone. A small computer called a controller checks who’s trying to get in, decides if they’re allowed, and unlocks the door for them. Every entry and exit is logged automatically, and if someone loses their fob or leaves the company, you just turn off their access instead of rekeying every lock in the building.
And it doesn’t stop at doors. The same controller can integrate with elevators (restricting which floors someone can reach, with destination dispatch for larger buildings), intercoms (letting a resident buzz in a visitor remotely), automatic door operators (opening the door itself once access is granted, not just unlocking it), garage doors and gates (one credential for the whole property), and your alarm and CCTV systems.
Every technician joins with a minimum of two years of industry experience, then completes a two-month, in-house hands-on training program under our founder, Alan Bell a Red Seal Certified Locksmith and AAADM Certified Automation Inspector. We’re authorized dealers for ICT and HID, and our senior technician Arkadiy is a licensed FSR.
We competed for Amazon’s original Riverbend Business Park tender in Burnaby and didn’t win it — a competitor did. About a year later, Amazon needed more capacity than that single facility could handle, and opened the door for private subcontractor facilities. We got the call. What started as one contract grew into multiple full facility builds, each with more than 30 bay doors and fire exit doors, complete wiring, and full CCTV systems — designed and installed from scratch. We still service them today.
